Prada FW2011

And again Miuccia made a show-stopping collection for Fall Winter, first it was the new 'madmen' length, then the beach-see-through-plastic one, then it was the cuban-bananas-and-neon-stripes for this summer and next winter we can expect a lot of twiggy shapes dresses and coats with snake leather boots and fur hats and details. Maybe not such a wearable collection, but in my opinion very editorial worthy!

Pudding

Ok, You need to eat between shows. And now the thing is, I'm not in Milan or Paris, so I can explore some home cooking again. This time: English apple pudding, yum yum.. It took me 2hours, but the result was amazing!

D&G FW2010

Celebrating Fashion at D&G. The collection was screaming 90's fashion in a modern jacket of course, I loved the happy energy of the models and garments, taking bright colors to a new level.
Eye Catchers of the D&G collection: Plastic letter necklaces, petticoats underneath tight skirts, neon colors, wedge sneakers, letter prints, crop-tops and I'm loving the square yellow coat.

Burberry FW2011

Compared to its previous two or three collections, I thought this seasons Burberry collection was kind of toned down and dull. Nevertheless there were still great eye catchers that we should take into notice for the upcoming winter season! Eye catchers of the Burberry collection: sixties colors like mustard yellow, orange and brown, tight flared 'leggings', bright colors on wool and cotton square shaped coats and then those platform sneakers! Certainly a musthave for my winter wardrobe, although they do remind me a bit off the 'spice girl-era' I experienced in my younger years.. auch..

Oh those louboutins

Here she is again, during NYFW, Taylor Tomasi Hill. This time wearing those stunning studded Louboutin sneakers. (photo: tommy ton) I almost bought them when I was in Paris during a styling trip last year. This photo is taken in the Louboutin showroom (by me, december 2009)

Acne FW2011

Also ACNE presented its new collection for the FallWinter season of 2011. And if you didn't incorporate colored leather pieces in your wardrobe, mark my words, do it now! Cuz there will be a run on leather pants and jackets and tops in pastel and bright colors.

New on my wishlist

These camel colored platform heels from River Island

Rodarte FW2011

With a collection like this, even I want to be a farmer girl! Eye catchers of the Rodarte collection: small prints mixed, pastel and light colors for the winter season, over-knee or maxi dresses and skirts, leather boots with modern tribal signs, big and small collars.

Proenza Schouler FW2011

My love for Proenza Schouler is big and actually grows with every fashion week. I love how Jack and Lazaro capture a sort of cultural vibe every season and translate it in magnificent prints and fabrics, always with a feminine touch linking back a certain era.
Eye catchers of the Proenza Schouler collection:   High heels with small straps, colorful prints diagonal on pants and pencil skirts, mixing leather with embroidery and cotton.

NYFW: The Row FW11

Eye catchers of the collection: leather and panther loafers, androgyn silhouette in combination with fur in mustard and beige colors.

NYFW: Marc Jacobs FW11

Eye catchers of the Marc Jacobs Fall Winter collection: The polkadot tights, polkadot 'mary poppin' bags and hats, almost every item had that little dot, rather hidden or very obvious. The unique usage of rubber and latex with top, skirts, pants, dresses. The colors bordeaux red and silver and again those white collars worn in or over tops. A shiny & 'futuristic' collection with a body conscious look, which is still very feminine through the use of shape by MJ.
