After FW shopping

Amsterdam International Fashion Week has again come to an end. So many amazing designers, spot on outfits and new inspiration have passed by this week. So what do we do on the monday after? Work hard, have coffee? Anyway, this is not the time to get back in our dull outfits again, lets continue the spirit of happy fashion clothes and bring some early spring sunshine in your wardrobe.

Shopping for the easy days

The festivities are over, New Years has passed and we are all starting at a bright, new, fresh 2011. Not to forget, it is still winter! I always get the need to long for spring even more, ones this holiday season has passed. But now, we need to sit this one out, but that doesn't mean we can't dress fashionable? One bright issue: sales are up all over the webshops and in town! ..So here's for the lazy fashionista's or just those who are in an extreme relax mood like me. Spring will soon be there! I promise ;) Meanwhile try to score some goods in those bargain bins.

It is from the hands of the great Alberto Guardiani. €315 (www.colette.fr)

O the wonder

"circus family" W magazine, December 2010

It struck my eye, the moment I watched upon this editorial. It amazes me how, again my favorite photographer Paolo Roversi and stylist Alex White has set this enchanting world. A world that is mysterious and draws you in. You may never leaves the pages of the magazine with an editorial like this. Capturing style, top models, high-end fashion and especially an atmosphere you want to be part of and discover.

Models of 2010

2010 presented a lot of amazing young, or already working on their road, spotlight girls. Here's the top 10 for 2010. With surprisingly also two Dutch girls. The most remarkable in this top 10 for me is Daphne Groeneveld who just recently started and already has appeared on the cover of Vogue, on the runways and in the campaigns of Prada and Miu Miu.... This girl is promising like hell!!

1.) Karlie Kloss (18) NEXT 2.) Mirte Maas (17) MTA 3.) Lindsey Wixson (16) MARILYN 4.) Abbey lee Kershaw (23) NEXT 5.) Karmen Pedaru (20) MJ 6.) Ginta Lapina (21) WOMEN 7.) Daphne Groeneveld (15) WOMEN 8.) Frida Gustavsson (17) IMG 9.) Arizona Muse, NEXT 10.) Barbara Palvin, IMG

Emmanuelle is the new Carine

Just as neon is the new black this summer, Emmanuelle is the new Carine for the upcoming decade of Vogue FR. Carine had such an outspoken voice, opinion, style and (oh!) network. But there is no doubt in me that a lot will change for the Parisian Vogue readers. These two are like sisters, expressing that extraordinary and specific rock and roll and elegant french style.

Looking forward to the first Emmanuelle issue, that for sure will be a collectors item.

On my wishlisht for this year

Ok, I know it is kind of lame to write about dogs, and especially to put them on your wishlist for your birthday for about ten years in a row. More so because it is none realistic at all, because you life in a small apartment in Amsterdam, with yes a park around the corner, but moving every six months, so you have no idea where you are your puglet end up.
But only.. everytime I see one while surfing on the web or strawling through the city makes me happy and makes my longings even deeper. I already know what I would name it & how I would dress it (mind only a collar no full outfits [yet]).. anyway. One day we will be united and I will give him the best life ever. *I'll stop dreaming now*

The spring campaigns are out!

The new Spring 2011 campaigns are popping up everywhere. First the givenchy (see bellow) and now also the new Valentino campaign: Valentino’s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli tapped three of the hottest models of the moment—Freja Beha Erichsen, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, and Julia Saner—to showcase their gossamer-light collection. David Sims shot the black-and-white images at the label’s Place Vendôme home—what the designers call “a poetic and ultra-chic Paris setting.” (text and image style.com)
