Park Avenue life, this F/W there is a revival of the eighties as seen at the
Oscar de la Renta show. Big hair poofy hair in wavy curls, eye shadow reaching into your eyebrows, golden chain necklaces, over-knee length skirts and coats with accents of red, fur, and vibrant prints. Oscar de la Renta sends his models down the runway as eighties Barbie dolls, and so remains his status of luxury, boldness, quality, and ladylike fashion designs. And not only Oscar but also Mulberry’s creative director
Emma Hill seems to have had the same brain spin. With big hair, golden necklaces and eighties - no not trashy - looking dresses the models strutted down the catwalk, with of course the focus on the most beautiful bags in classic leather and animal prints, I say, enough new it-bags to be spotted for those gossip girls out there.
